Board Game Nights

Tuesdays, August 12 & 26

6:00 - 7:30 p.m. 

Travel by train across Asia! Battle for gold in the Wild West! Work together to make the best fireworks display! Stomp through a city as a giant monster! Board games let you do all that and more. Children and teens ages 8-17 are invited to join us for an evening of fun and good food. This free event will last about 90 minutes. Learn to Draw Animals

Thursday, Sept. 18

6:00 p.m.

The library’s drawing class returns! By popular request, this month’s topic will be drawing animals. Learn the basic shapes and simple techniques to draw all your favorites, including cats, dogs, birds, & more! All drawing materials are provided by the library. This program, which is open to children ages 8-17 and their parents or caretakers, will last about one hour. The class is free, but you MUST register. This is sure to be a fascinating presentation! Kent Daniels, Director of the Lynches Lake Historical Society, will discuss battles and other important events and talk about some of the men who fought under Francis Marion's command in the "Ring of Fire" area. Family Movie Event

Ahoy, landlubbers! Join the crew at the library for a piratical motion picture event in celebration of International Talk Like a Pirate Day. Feats of derring-do, swashbuckling, and delicious refreshments will abound! This free program, which is open to children of all ages and their parents or caretakers, will last about 90 minutes.
